Bust of King Neferefre
The bust of King Neferefre does not indicate whether the statue, of which it was part, was standing or seated. The bust depicts the king wearing the traditional Nemes headdress, which leaves the ears uncovered. The upper part of the Nemes is not striped as usual but its two sides are. The eyes and eyebrows are portrayed with cosmetic lines in a remarkable way. He wears a false beard with horizontal stripes. His left arm probably would have been bent to hold something, such as a scepter. | ||
