Coffin of Yuya with Crossed Hands
This coffin is made of wood, gilt, and bitumen, a type of cement. Yuya is shown with his hands crossed on his chest. Below is a vulture with outspread wings holding two Shen signs of power in the talons. A column of text is inscribed on the center of the lid. Each side is divided by four vertical bands, between which on the right-hand side are figures of Imsety, Anubis, Duamutef, and Geb facing the deceased. At the right-hand end of the box is a depiction of a pylon, or gateway, with the double Udjat eye upon it. On the left-hand side, Hapi, Anubis, Qebehsenuef, and Nut face the deceased. At the head of the coffin is a figure of Nephthys kneeling on the "Neb" gold sign. At the foot is a figure of Isis kneeling with one knee on the "Neb" gold sign, touching a power sign. | ||
