Bronze Ladle for Measuring Liquid
The measure is in the form of a cyathus, a Greek ladle used for serving wine. It was used as a unit for measuring liquids and transferring them from one vessel to another. The handle is currently broken. The measure has a regular cylindrical shape, free of any decoration, with a rounded part in the middle. The artist cast the cyathus in bronze, a material that was readily available at the time and cheap. | ||
