Canopic Jar with Falcon-Head Lid 632-6-10
The lid of this large, hollow, alabaster canopic jar is shaped like a falcon-head. The facial features of the falcon are finely modeled with relief lines indicating the head, the eyelids, and the beak.

Several columns of hieroglyphic text are carved on the front of the jar. The text consists of a prayer to Selkis, or Sereket, to protect the deceased and his internal organs, which are here associated with the deity Qebehsenuef, who was responsible for the protection of the intestines.
